In Nevada, 80% of Our State  Land Doesn’t Belong to Us!

The time has come for the BLM to be dissolved and for an orderly transfer of the public lands to control of the states, or to the ownership of whichever Indian nation from whom they were taken.

Today Clark County cannot fill its teaching job positions or fund a pay scale that meets the approval of its current teaching staff. So, why then is there this ongoing debate and controversy over year-round kindergarten?

Most responsible people know, as a matter of common sense, that if you can’t afford a luxury item, then you simply don’t buy it.

Maybe later, but NOT NOW.

When is it wise to use more energy in production than you can save in pollution?

Since the raw material for ethanol production must first be grown, not pumped from the earth, you have to burn more fuel, in tractors, harvesting equipment, and the distillery process than will ever be economically viable as an alternative to gasoline.

The really BIG question however, is the amount of additional acres of land that would needed to be plowed under in order to produce the fermentable crops…..sufficient to significantly reduce gasoline usage?

Just which 1000’s of current wildlife habitat would YOU choose to destroy?

The energy companies of the world feel no loyalty to any nation. They thrive on profits and cultivate their products accordingly.

Only when society calls out for change do they pretend to listen. But make no mistake about it, we are paying high prices because that is what they want. Also, the plain fact is that we have no alternative fuel choices because they are not interested in marketing or producing alternative fuels.

Their goal is to limit cost by producing no more product than necessary, and then to sell that limited amount at the highest price the PUBLIC will bear.

Though world crude oil prices are often blamed as a reason for pricey gasoline, that excuse doesn’t hold water. After all, it is the big oil companies who are pumping that crude in collaboration partnership with the governments of countries all over the world. Subsequently, with nearly complete control over world’s supply and demand, it is the OIL INDUSTRY that controls the commodity price of crude, not the free market system.

Our future lies in methane and perhaps hydrogen, but don’t expect the change to be led by Exxon or BPC.

We frankly don’t need the thug culture of so many NBA fans imported into our community social structure. 4 days of the NBA was enough for Las Vegas.

Most major league cities bend over backwards for “their” team. For many of them, it’s the only game in town. That’s not true for Las Vegas.

We have no pressing economic need for any major league team. Especially in this age of sports when transient pro players follow the bucks from team to team without any love of community or home.

Let’s give our love and financial support to the only team we can really call our own; UNLV. We could make our Rebel teams the envy of the nation. Then our pride would be well deserved.

To Hell with the People!

Poll Nevada citizens, and you will find that nearly 80 percent of the people here support a Nevada state lottery. Any politician would gloat over such numbers for him/her self in the election polls.

So, why is there no Nevada State Lottery? Because the majority of our elected politicians are in the pockets of the Casino Industry. They don’t govern for the will of the people, the voters who elected them, but for the interests of the industries whose money lines their political campaign chests.

The Casinos want every gambling dollar in this state to only go to corporate bank accounts, not into the public coffers that fund state programs for the welfare and benefit of Nevada’s citizens.

Changing the culture of Our Nation.

Only a Nation United Under One System of Language, Values, and Law Can Long Endure.

Droughts may end, but a permanent climate change never will.

Our elected Democrats in Washington are too busy drumming up charges and scandals aimed at discrediting Republicans than doing their jobs as lawmakers to confront the pressing issue at hand.

Day in and day out we are subjected to attacks on the President, the war in Iraq, the Attorney General, or any other cabinet member of  the day that they feel might be vulnerable to public embarrassment.

 Oddly enough, all this energy is being expended against folks who will not be in office little more than a year from now and are not running for any office.

It is no wonder then, that we are left disillusioned. Are these the people we can count on for solid alternative solutions? What are their plans for solving America’s problems? Intuition tells us not much will change in their approach.

They will prey on the greed of the,    “needy,” and clamor over on about the need for HIGHER TAXES.

Of course they will promise to get the money from the  “ Rich.”  But just who are the,  “Rich,”….your friend, your neighbor,  or your boss and the business that furnishes you the job that funds all your daily expenses?

Our brave soldiers will be brought home feeling disgraced and deprived in fulfillment of the battle, their values and conviction of freedom for all., freedom worth dying for, left forever diminished.

Then will come the campaign for nationalization and federalization of healthcare and insurance.

Theirs is a divisive ideology, when we most need to come together in direction and unity within our unique, “American ethnicity.”
